Panel Discussion III: Scaling AI adoption via BRICS cooperation: Hubs, Centres of Excellence

  • Background

No country has to innovate alone; working together allows faster adoption of new technologies. This panel spotlights how international cooperation (especially among BRICS countries and through UNIDO) helps members share best practices and scale AI solutions. The BRICS Industrial Competencies Network (BCIC) enables members to co-develop training programs, so each can leverage the other countries’ strengths.

  • Objective

To show the value of multilateral partnerships in industrial AI deployment. Panellists will discuss recent cooperative successes and outline how AIM Global’s new CoE network and the BRICS PartNIR cooperation will work in tandem to accelerate progress for all participants.

  • Expected outcomes

Commitments to deepen knowledge-sharing and initiate joint projects (Centres of Excellence, capacity building programs). The panel will endorse expanding networks of BCIC and connecting with AIM Global’s platform to form a global support system for industrial AI.

  • Key topics

Sharing of AI solutions and data across borders; role of regional hubs/Centres of Excellence; South–South cooperation benefits; aligning national efforts with global frameworks (ensuring that lessons from BRICS, G20 are made available to all Alliance members).
