I have spent more than two decades at the intersection of technology, public policy, and global governance, shaping the digital agenda from boardrooms to multilateral forums. My path has carried me through leadership roles at Google and Meta, where I designed strategies that advanced open internet frameworks, strengthened data governance, and aligned regulatory approaches across the Global South and beyond. Along the way, I’ve advised governments, regulators, and global institutions on many of the defining questions of the digital era.
As Founder and CEO of AT Worthy Technology Inc., I am building the infrastructure to measure and elevate Digital and AI Worthiness. Our AI-powered rating system benchmarks organizations across sectors against transparent standards of digital and AI readiness and capabilities. I launched several AI initiatives such as AgentOne DAO LLC, the world’s first company owned, governed, and managed by an AI Agent, and Settle AI, which brings together mediators and arbitrators to resolve conflicts involving Artificial Intelligence. I am also a member of RAILS (Responsible AI in Legal Services).
As a Mozilla Fellow, I am pursuing a research study that investigates how AI is intersecting with the arts in Africa and the Middle East, particularly through the lens of socially engaged and community-based art practices.
I am the Co-founder and Chair of the Emerging Economies AI Governance Network (EEAIN), whose mission is to ensure that emerging economies across Africa, Asia, and Latin America are not passive adopters of artificial intelligence, but active shapers of its governance, ethics, and safety.
My governance journey extends deep into international policymaking. I served as a Board Director at ICANN, a Trustee of the Internet Society, and a Director of AfriNIC. I was appointed by the UN Secretary-General to the Internet Governance Forum’s Multistakeholder Advisory Group, where I helped steer debates on the future of internet governance. I also served on the advisory councils of the Public Interest Registry and the World Bank Group, focusing on civic engagement and digital trust. These experiences offered me a front-row seat to how internet infrastructure, standards, and governance frameworks are born and contested on the global stage.
Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, I thrive in multicultural and cross-sector environments. From policy think tanks to startup labs, I find energy in places where governance, technology, and human purpose intersect.
