About me
Professor LIU Hao brings extensive expertise in the field of air and space law, with a specialization in global governance, contributing to his reputation in the academic community. With a wealth of professional experience, he has focused his expertise on emerging technologies and aerospace operations, including digital economy, unmanned aviation, sub-orbital flight, High Attitude Operation (HAO, or near-space operations) and commercial space ventures. Through his active involvement in international organizations such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS), Professor LIU Hao plays a crucial role in promoting innovation and facilitating new digital and aerospace businesses.
Since 2009, Professor LIU Hao has been actively engaged in air and space legislation in China, contributing extensively to the development and advancement of the field. His research interests span across Air and Space Law, Digital Economy, and Global Governance, reflecting his commitment to addressing contemporary challenges in these domains.
Currently, Professor LIU Hao serves as the Executive Chair of the School of Global Governance at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). He also holds the position of Deputy Director at the National Research Center of ATM Law and Standard, a prestigious think tank established under the auspices of China's State Air Traffic Commission.
