UNIDO Highlights Namibia Bush Value Chain Project at “A Digital Future for All” Event during Summit of the Future

At Action Day 2 of the Summit of the Future, Ms Fatou Haidara, the Managing Director and Deputy to the Director General of UNIDO delivered an insightful presentation during the event titled “A Digital Future for All.” This high-profile event brought together global stakeholders to discuss how innovative digital technologies can be harnessed for a more sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future.

During the event, Ms Haidara, introduced UNIDO’s Namibia Bush Value Chain Project, an initiative that turns environmental challenges into economic opportunities for local communities. This groundbreaking project leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and satellite technology to tackle the problem of bush encroachment, transforming it into a viable value chain that benefits both the environment and the economy.
