About

Transform, Learn, Connect (TLC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in Lebanon with a comprehensive mandate to drive sustainable development and empower communities throughout Lebanon and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Founded on the principles of transformation, continuous learning, and meaningful connection, TLC addresses the multifaceted challenges facing the region through an integrated approach that combines economic development, social empowerment, and educational advancement.

Our organization operates at the intersection of innovation and impact, implementing pioneering projects across multiple sectors including women's empowerment, youth development, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) support, education enhancement, startup mentorship, and sustainable initiatives in creative, educational, and agricultural sectors. We recognize that lasting change requires a holistic strategy that addresses both immediate needs and long-term capacity building.

TLC's geographical focus centers on southern Lebanon, a region that has faced significant challenges and requires targeted development interventions. However, our reach extends throughout all regions of Lebanon and to neighboring countries in the MENA region that have been affected by the Lebanese crisis and other regional conflicts. We believe in the power of cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing to create sustainable solutions that transcend geographical boundaries.

Our approach is built on three foundational pillars that are reflected in our name and logo. Transformation represents our commitment to creating positive, lasting change in communities by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to overcome challenges and build better futures. Learning emphasizes our dedication to education, capacity building, and evidence-based practices that foster continuous improvement and innovation. Connection highlights our role as a bridge-builder, creating networks of collaboration among stakeholders from diverse sectors including government, civil society, private sector, and international organizations.

TLC's programmatic interventions are designed to empower the most vulnerable and underserved populations, with particular emphasis on women and youth who represent the future drivers of economic growth and social progress. We provide comprehensive support to small and medium-sized enterprises through mentorship programs, capacity building initiatives, and facilitation of access to finance. Our education programs aim to enhance quality and accessibility at all levels, from primary to higher education, while our startup mentorship initiatives foster a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.

In the agricultural sector, we promote sustainable farming practices, support smallholder farmers, and work to enhance food security through innovative solutions that combine traditional knowledge with modern techniques. Our creative industries programs support artists, designers, and cultural entrepreneurs in developing their skills and accessing markets. Throughout all our work, we maintain a commitment to humanitarian principles, providing emergency relief and development support to crisis-affected populations.

TLC operates with the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct. We are committed to inclusive development that leaves no one behind, working collaboratively with all segments of society to maximize our impact. Through strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, government agencies, and the private sector, we leverage resources and expertise to create synergies and deliver sustainable results that transform lives and communities across the MENA region.
