About me
Muhammad Bilal is an award-winning entrepreneur, technologist, and AI advocate based in Dubai, UAE. He is the CEO of TripOTap, a pioneering travel-tech company on a mission to disrupt the $10.5 trillion global travel industry with AI-powered personalization, automation, and immersive experiences. Under his leadership, TripOTap has secured funding at a $4M valuation, launched across MENA, and is scaling toward becoming the next travel-tech unicorn.
Bilal’s vision is clear: to make travel effortless, tailored, and eco-friendly. TripOTap delivers real-time AI-curated itineraries, one-tap booking for flights, stays, and experiences, and forward-looking features like crypto and BNPL payments, while promoting responsible and sustainable tourism.
Beyond TripOTap, Bilal serves as Chief Technology Officer & Global AI Delegate for the UAE Chapter of GAFAI (Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence) and Global Ambassador for the Global Council for Responsible AI, where he champions ethical AI adoption, policy development, and cross-sector collaboration.
With over a decade of experience spanning cybersecurity, IoT, and full-stack hardware/software engineering, Bilal has founded and led multiple startups including BreatheIO (an IoT-powered air quality monitor and purifier) and ApnaHouse (an AI-driven platform for the construction industry). He has advised global companies, driven large-scale digital transformations, and mentored AI startups to build secure, ethical, and scalable solutions.
A 4x author and Hacker Noon Contributor of the Year, Bilal’s publications include IoTpreneurship: The Future of Inventing Internet of Things and Make Me a Programmer: The Independent Entrepreneur. His work has been recognized by Arctic Code Vault Contributor honors and the World Festival Innovation Awards.
Educated at The University of Texas at Austin (Postgraduate in Machine Learning & AI) and Draper University (Entrepreneurship), Bilal blends deep technical expertise with a founder’s mindset, constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation.
