About

The East African Business Hub (EAB-Hub) is an inclusive digital platform developed by Brish Media Empire in partnership with the Uganda Small Scale Industries Association (USSIA) to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across East Africa. Designed to empower entrepreneurs, especially women and youth, the platform provides accessible, affordable digital tools that enhance business visibility, expand market access, and promote long term sustainability. Through EAB-Hub, MSMEs can create a professional online presence, showcase products and services, engage in digital transactions, and build sustainable market linkages across the region.

At the heart of EAB-Hub is a mobile first, cloud based system that allows each MSME to set up an interactive digital business page on a unique subdomain. These pages integrate multimedia elements such as images, videos, and text, while connecting seamlessly with social media and e-commerce tools. The platform categorizes MSMEs into key sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, construction, education, health, and finance, to deliver tailored services, insights, and capacity building content that meets sector specific needs.

EAB-Hub offers a comprehensive suite of digital tools and support services. Entrepreneurs benefit from AI powered business insights that provide pricing recommendations, sales forecasts, and marketing guidance. They also have access to gamified digital marketing training through interactive modules, quizzes, and certifications. The platform features a multilingual, voice enabled interface and USSD access, ensuring inclusivity for users in low connectivity and low literacy environments, particularly in rural and underserved communities. Additional features such as e-commerce integration, search engine optimization, email marketing, and social media connectivity further strengthen the digital reach and brand visibility of MSMEs locally and regionally.

The platform is built on scalable, cloud based infrastructure optimized for mobile access. By leveraging artificial intelligence, e-learning methodologies, and omnichannel communication strategies, EAB-Hub provides a seamless experience across web, mobile, SMS, and voice platforms. These innovations reduce barriers to digital participation, enabling MSMEs to grow sustainably in an increasingly digital economy.

EAB-Hub’s success relies on strong collaboration across a diverse ecosystem, including MSME associations, cooperatives, fintech providers, content creators, media agencies, local governments, innovation hubs, and development partners. By bringing together stakeholders from the public, private, and development sectors, the platform supports outreach, digital financial inclusion, content promotion, policy alignment, and regional scale up. Through these partnerships, EAB-Hub ensures broad based impact, inclusivity, and long term sustainability for East African MSMEs.
